I really enjoyed Chris Brogan’s recent post on how you can spice up your blog with photos from Flickr licensed under Creative Commons. So I figured I’d add one myself (that’s Chris on the left, not me).
I was always curious as to what some of the rules were when using photos on the web but have never used Flickr because of those concerns. Its a great read and should really help you out. A quick excerpt then the link to the full post:
The photos that I use on Flickr for this blog are licensed to be used under Creative Commons. That means there are some rules to using them, but if you abide by the rules, you can use them. (More on Creative Commons.). There are multiple rules for these photos. I use the least restrictive photos, found by searching using this link, which will give you any photos posted by people who simply want credit attributed to them for their work.
