I was really inspired by this story about Jan Christian and her husband Randy. Jan had not been able to speak for the past 35 years due to an injury in a car crash and has had her voice newly restored through a complicated surgery. Their story is one of graciousness, empathy, true love, and one that might make us take the gift of being able to express ourselves and to be understood…a little less for granted.
