I love the Wrigley's Spearmint on the side of the building. That's the kind of thing that tends to draw my eye. It's funny that you talk about not photographing many people, and why. Is that just something in you, or a product of where you live and probably knowing (or being visually familiar with) many of them? I've noticed a change in me since I've been living here to the point where I will now have no problem approaching someone to take their picture, and do if something is interesting to me. I'd be curious to see how you shoot after a week in a city with no other focus except photography. But I do enjoy your other shots.

Thanks Michelle - my pleasure! I've got a lot to learn when it comes to shooting - composition, gear, etc. I'm just getting started.

I shot these with my canon T2i and a F1.8 prime lens. Beginners stuff but it's enough to be dangerous. I did post processing in Lightroom. Keep in touch!

Thank you so much for the shout-out! And I love your shots from the walk. So much depth, and so crisp! One of these days, I'm going to grow up and get a REAL camera. :) What are you shooting with? Was it a Canon?

Astute and informed observations and conclusions, Ryan - as usual.
An excellent lesson for us all to internalize.

As you and I both know, The Tram achieved this stunning success by completely focusing on their target audience, with little regard for their own needs. They have a red hot mission and seemingly nothing takes them from their path. And, as you point out, their core product, often left unmentioned, is excellent.

What a tremendous formula for success. What a tremendous example. What leaders.
